About This File

CFS2 Northrop F-5A Freedom Fighter. Lightweight fighter-bomber in US Air Force Southeast Asia (SEA) camouflage. The USAF employed small numbers of F-5Cs (not As) during the Vietnam War. The F-5A was named 'Freedom Fighter' because it was distributed to friendly nations under the US Military Assistance Program (MAP). In Vietnam though, its crews gave it the nickname 'Skoshi Tiger' (Japanese for Little Tiger). The South Vietmanese Air Force was supplied with F-5As along with all the USAF's F-5Cs. Alpha (Alphasim) 2004 freeware release. CFS2 weapons included.
