About This File
FS98 Lt Werner Voss Albatros D-III with full moving parts. The Albatros D.III marked a departure in design for the Albatros firm. The sesquiplane design of the lower wing was copied from the Nieuport scouts, causing the lower wing to occasionally fail in flight. Nevertheless, the D.III made its debut in force during the spectacular slaughter of British reconnaissance machines during "Bloody April" of 1917. This model represents one of the Albatros D-III's flown by Leutnant Werner Voss. Contains aircraft and panel by Moriarty of Pegasus Aviation Design.
