 FS2004 1/3 Scale Avro Arrow. This sim uses the "flight box" crash protection and structural frame to duplicate a 1/3 scale flight model of the Avro Arrow, the first effective supersonic fighter produced. The flight characteristics are similar to the "Foo Fighter", with the exception of the craft being heavier, with a delta wing, and a larger 'venturi assist' fan engine. Poetic license is taken with the size required for the pilot area, and the flight approximations. It is also more difficult to build, but the result (with the unique wing design) is a fast, fun little, reasonably inexpensive aircraft. By Kevin Espeseth. |
