I'm sure by now that you've noticed our new look. We've tweaked some of the FlightSim.Com graphics and have placed a new menu at the top of the pages. Hopefully this is something that people will like and already we've gotten a number of positive comments.

I'd just like to point out that the new menu bar, while smaller than the old one, actually lets you access more features directly from the home page than ever before via the use of drop-downs. You'll start to see this same menu bar throughout the site, making navigation easier no matter where you are.

We've also recently added other new features:

Add This - A single button bookmarking and sharing system
RSS Feed - Get FlightSim.Com updates sent to you in real time
Comments - Articles now have a link allowing you to add your own comments
Updated Message Forum - The latest vBulletin forums offers new features such as:
- Tags - A new way to organize and search messages
- Social Networking Features:
  - Buddy Lists - Contacts & Friends
  - Social Groups - Form and join groups based on special interests
  - Pictures & Albums - Share photos and screen shots
- Calendar
Enhanced Google search - Available from the new menus and on the home page
Blogs - Integrated into vBulletin

Add This

The new "Add This", RSS feed and Comments functions are activated using the group of icons you'll see in the upper right corner of articles such as this one. Click on them and give them a try.

Message Forums

If you're not familiar with our message forums, go here to see what they are all about.

Sign up for a forum account if you don't already have one (please note, your file library account does not automatically carry over to the forums so you do have to sign up again). Many of the new features are accessed through the "User CP" (user control panel) link.

Search

We've added Google Custom Search to our home page and to the new menus. This enhanced search will make it easier to find articles, review, news, etc. after it's scrolled off the home page. Please note, this search is NOT for finding files; continue to use our file specific functions for that.

Blogs

Blogs have become very popular throughout the internet and now you can have your own right here, hosted by FlightSim.Com! The blogs are integrated into the vBulletin message forum software and are reached from the forums top of page menu bar. We know lots of flightsimmers have things to say...here's the latest way to do it.
